Safety Guidelines for Younger Users

Updated: May 31, 2026

A Safe Space for Everyone

Qerios is a community where diverse voices can connect, and we are committed to ensuring that our younger users have a safe, fun, and educational experience. While Qerios is designed for a broad audience, we have implemented specific measures to protect users who may be younger or less experienced with online social interactions.

Our Commitment: We strive to create an environment where everyone can express themselves safely. If you are a younger user, please read these guidelines carefully and talk to a trusted adult if you ever feel uncomfortable.

Tips for Younger Users

Navigating social media can be exciting, but it’s important to prioritize your safety and privacy. Here are some essential tips:

  • Keep Personal Details Private: Never share sensitive information like your home address, school name, phone number, or passwords with anyone online, even in private messages.
  • Think Before You Post: Everything you share—answers, sketches, or music—is part of your digital footprint. Before you hit "publish," ask yourself if it’s something you would be comfortable with everyone seeing.
  • Manage Who You Interact With: You don't have to talk to everyone. Use our blocking and muting features if someone is making you feel uncomfortable, and don't feel pressured to accept chat requests from people you don't know in real life.
  • Use Our Reporting Tools: If you see something that makes you feel sad, scared, or confused, use our reporting system to let us know. You aren't "snitching"—you are helping keep our community safe for yourself and others.

Parental Guidance

We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children's digital lives.

  • Open Communication: Encourage your children to come to you if they encounter something that makes them feel uncomfortable online.
  • Privacy Settings: Help your child explore our Privacy & Anonymity settings to ensure their account is set up in a way that feels safe for them.
  • Supervision: For younger users, we recommend supervised usage of social media platforms until they are comfortable and confident navigating them independently.

Reporting & Support

Our moderation systems work 24/7 to catch harmful content. However, human moderation is also important. If you encounter content involving child safety concerns, please use the "Child Safety" category in our Reporting System. These reports are prioritized by our team.
